Welcome to the website of the Fresno Bonsai Society.

The purpose of the Fresno Bonsai Society is to expand the knowledge and skills of Bonsai within its members while offering opportunities for appreciation of this art form to the broader community. We do this through the inspiration of the beauty of the natural world and the rich cultural heritage of Bonsai.

The next meeting of the Fresno Bonsai Society will be Saturday April 13th at 9AM, at the Clark Bonsai Collection in Shinzen Garden at Woodward Park.

Everyone should bring a tree to discuss or work on. The topics for the meeting and Bonsai Basics are To Be Decided. Everyone welcome to visit our meetings.

The Shohin Study Group will meet at Denny’s Restaurant on Herndon in Clovis at 5 PM on Wednesday March 20th and again on April 17th. The topic will be Shohin Bonsai Display.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring a shohin bonsai.

The Fresno Bonsai Society will be a proud sponsor of Asia Fest at the Fresno Community College campus on Saturday April 27th. Visit our booth at the Student Activities Building and the Sake Garden.

Do you have a bonsai that is not thriving or simply a question about bonsai. For help, contact us by clicking on the Our Club menu to the left.

Ever wonder what you should be doing for your Bonsai on any given month of the year?  Well that is why we have an Almanac on our web site.  It explains month to month when you should:  re-pot, wire, prune, etc.

Our club meets the second Saturday of each month from September through June. The meeting places may vary according to seasons and activities each month, check the newsletter for details.

We are very fortunate to hold our meetings in the beautiful Shinzen Japanese Garden.  We cordially invite you to visit us at our next meeting and look forward to seeing you.

Our website contains a wealth of information about our club, bonsai related articles, plus a wealth of information on the care of bonsai.  If you don't find the answer to your question you can contact someone personally by going to the Contact Us page and send us an e-mail and one of our experienced members will respond.
